Food Service Associates / Subway

Overview:

Our food service team members are responsible for the daily operation of Top Star Express/Subway’s food service programs. They ensure that our customers are satisfied with their dining experience and the business is profitable. Successful food service associate’s will be friendly, energetic, and will work with the team to achieve store objectives, follow all safety and operating procedures, while maintaining the highest standards in food service.

 

Responsibilities (not limited to the below):

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Work the breakfast/lunch shift or the lunch/dinner shift
  • Follow proper guidelines for food preparation, cash handling, timekeeping, sanitation and all other procedures
  • Inspect all food items to ensure the proper temperature and freshness
  • Wrap and label all food orders
  • Perform general housekeeping including dish washing and sweeping, etc.
  • Cross-train in other areas of your assigned store (i.e. coffee bar)
  • Communicate and engage in friendly conversations with customers and team members
  • Keep strong attention to detail
  • Work in a team atmosphere and independently when needed
  • Attend training classes and food service meetings as assigned (Leads)

Customer Service Representative

Overview:

Top Star Express Customer Service Representative’s (CSR’s) main and most important job responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service every time – we call this Convenience Done Right!  CSR’s need to be friendly, energetic, passionate and serve all our customers efficiently. Working as part of a team to assist in achieving your store’s objectives, following all safety and operating procedures, and adhering to fresh food handling guidelines and standards is also key to this role.

 

Responsibilities (not limited to the below):

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Sweep, mop and clean as necessary
  • Keep store neat and orderly (including bathrooms and forecourt)
  • Follow proper guidelines for food preparation, cash handling, timekeeping, sanitation and all other procedures
  • Cross-train in other areas of your assigned store (i.e. food service)
  • Adhere to loss prevention guidelines
  • Communicate and engage in friendly conversations with customers and team members
  • Keep strong attention to detail
  • Work in a team atmosphere and independently when needed

Assistant Store Manager

Overview:

The assistant manager’s role is to ensure the smooth operation of a store in the absence of the store manager. By assisting in leading, developing and training team members, the assistant manager is key in setting the pace to deliver Convenience Done Right! to each customer. Priority is to ensure a great customer experience, this will be achieved through maintaining store standards, ensuring safety and all operating procedures are adhered to, and by creating a positive store culture for both team members and customers.

 

Responsibilities (not limited to the below):

  • Assist in the training, coaching and development of employees as necessary using Top Star Express training methods
  • Support, uphold, and enforce all company policies including any local, state and federal laws
  • Assist in achieving store’s sales goals set with your store manager/district manager/operations manager
  • Assist in effectively control losses and help increase profits
  • Maintain high standards of the Top Star Express image
  • Ensure practice of safety, security, and environmental procedures
  • Complete required reports and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Order, receive, and display merchandise according to specific Top Star Express plan-o-grams, procedures, and policies
  • Properly display, rotate, and promote all shippers within the store
  • Implement promotions and suggestive sell
  • Work with vendors in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Ensure that all areas of the store (especially the coffee area, the food service area, restrooms and forecourt) are clean, well-stocked, and ready for business
  • Delegate and oversee completion of all work on assigned shift
  • Attend training classes and assistant manager meetings as assigned

Store Manager

Overview:

The store manager position demands high standards with regards to appearance, attitude, leadership, and customer service skills necessary to successfully run any Top Star Express location. The priority is to ensure a great customer experience – this will be achieved through maintaining store standards, ensuring safety and all operating procedures are adhered to, and be creating a positive store culture for all team members and customers.

 

Responsibilities (not limited to the below):

  • Recruiting, interviewing and managing a team of engaged employees.
  • Train, coach and develop employees as necessary using Top Star Express training methods
  • Support, uphold, and enforce all company policies including any local, state and federal laws
  • Manage all labor and store scheduling with the store and food service areas
  • Achieve store’s sales goals set with your district manager/operations manager
  • Understand and identify the cause of shrink
  • Work effectively to control losses and help to increase profits
  • Maintain high standards of the Top Star Express image
  • Ensure practice of safety, security, and environmental procedures
  • Conduct competitive surveys and report findings to upper management
  • Complete required reports and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Order, receive, and display merchandise according to specific Top Star Express plan-o-grams, procedures, and policies
  • Properly display, rotate, and promote all shippers within the store
  • Implement promotions and suggestive sell
  • Work with vendors in accordance with company policy and procedures
